Grahamstown has a variety of spaces where poetry can be found. In recent years, there has been  a growth in community poetry groups.

This map highlights the various poetry venues: on the Rhodes University campus, in town and extending into Joza. Efforts to unite these two main regions have been made by groups like the Cycle of Knowledge. Here, collaborations between both the academic and performative approaches are made in order to have a collective poetry presence. Similarly, efforts are being mirrored in campus by the students of the pop-up Arts Collective, who are providing better access to the arts for the student body.
